6/4/2023 0 Comments Unshaken by Francine Rivers![]() ![]() The first thing I had a hard time with was Naomi's reaction during the first part of the book. But in Bathsheeba's story it made sense and was believable to me. ![]() She did the same thing in Bathsheeba's story. Rivers will have to add things to the plot. I realize this is historical fiction and that the book of Ruth is only about five pages. ![]() What I didn't like: The additions she made to the story didn't fit my image of Ruth or Boaz. Anytime an author can make me care and feel for their characters, I'm happy. She pulls you into the story and before long you are invested in the characters and their outcomes. What I liked: Francine Rivers is a great writer. While it was for the most part an entertaining read, some of the plot was too implausible for me. I decided to try another novella in the series-Ruth. Your people will be my people and your God my God.Ī few months ago I read the novella of Bathsheeba's story and I loved it. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. ![]()
